The United Nations set 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) built on the principle of “leaving no one behind.” We felt compelled to join this movement and have committed to helping the United Nations achieve their goals.

- Resilience for millions Resiliency is one of society’s top sustainability challenges, and we believe that poor infrastructure resilience, both physical and natural, undermines communities’ capacity to cope, rebuild and recover from extreme weather and natural disasters. Our goal is to improve the resilience of five million people to natural hazards.
- Environmental footprint Use sustainable alternatives to reduce our environmental footprint on 100 percent of our key projects and non-project facilities.
- 100% engagement Engage 100 percent of our key suppliers to promote sustainability in the delivery of materials and services, and prevent modern-day slavery, including within their own supply chains.
Human Rights
Eradicating Modern Slavery
We made preventing human trafficking and slavery a key 2030 sustainability goal. We have zero tolerance for this in our global workforce and supply chain.
We respect human rights everywhere we operate and our actions are consistent with national laws; Kartix’s Vision, Values & Covenants and Kartix’s Code of Conduct; and consistent with United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Beyond our own efforts, we know we need to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to raise the bar for the whole-of-industry. We’re proud to being align with the Building Responsibly initiative, a global coalition of leading engineering and construction companies dedicated to promoting worker welfare and stopping modern-day slavery.

Continuing With Our Tradition Of Giving Back To The Society
From 2010, continuing with our tradition of giving back to the society, along with our existing CSR activities, we took up various new projects and initiatives to give back to the society. Below is a select list of the many organizations, people and projects Kartix has sponsored, donated to, or otherwise supported.
Dhaka:
— Arrange soft skill & personal development training for graduates & unemployed people.
— Cooperated with a local technical high school in terms of practical training for the faculty of heavy machinery mechanic. Our team gave the training for young apprentices who, in the future, can join and continue their career with Kartix.
— Donate in few local center of Sport and Recreation.
— Organise blood donation camp once in a year with Rotaract Club.
— Donate materials to “Grihohin” working for poor child education and women empowerment.
— Donate materials to “Potho Shishu” responsible for providing educational support.
Chittagong:
— Kartix team led the fundraising & employment program for the helpless local community.
Lakshmipur:
— We sponsored to build a mosque along with Etim Khana and regularly we support to operate the both smoothly.
Tangail:
— Associated with the orphanage called “Al-amin Etim Khana”. The team regularly organize activities, lunches, etc. for around 100 children.
— Cleanliness drives & pest control treatment are done to improve hygiene level of the premises.
